Graveside services for Reggie LaRue Smith of Arabi will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Arabi Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Friday prior to the service from 2:30 until time to depart for the cemetery. Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was a native of Crisp County and was the daughter of the late Dr. Tip Cox and Estelle Royal Cox. She was a teacher (RET) for 40 years, a homemaker and an active member of Arabi Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Larue Smith of Arabi; two nieces, Debbie Shiver of Leesburg and Polly Herbst of Savannah; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. Smith and siblings, Annette Pugh, Evelyn McCook, Narcissus Charles, and Tip Gerald Cox.
