Obituaries

Graveside services for Kelly Ray Lewis of Cordele will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery. Mr. Lewis, 56, passed away Saturday at Crisp Regional Hospital.  He was born in Colquitt County and was the son of the late J.B., Sr. and Velna Gertrude Linthiem Lewis.  He was a mechanic employed by the City of Cordele and a life-time member of the NRA.  He was a member of the Freewill Baptist faith.  Mr. Lewis is survived by three daughters, Melanie Lucas and her husband, Chris of Nashville, NC, Jennifer Lewis of Cordele and Heather Lewis of Ashburn; four grandchildren, Jordan Lucas, Cameron Lucas, Chelsea Lucas and Kendra Johnson; and three sisters, Faye Bryson of Statesville, NC, Charlotte Lewis of Cordele and Lavada Lewis of Statesboro.  He was preceded in death by brothers, James Howard Lewis and J.B. Lewis, Jr.
