Obituaries

Funeral services for Fannye Delilah "Fanlila" Wilbanks Ray of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m.  Mrs. Ray, 92, passed away Thursday, February 25 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  She was preceded in death by husbands, Glen Wilbanks and Jim Ray.  A native of Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late Nixon Monroe Royal, Sr. and Tallulah Mae Ritchey Royal.  She was a homemaker and a member of Arabi United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Ray is survived by her sister, Nelta Shiver of Cordele;  two sisters-in-law, Viola Royal and Willene Royal, both of Arabi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
