Obituaries

Funeral services for Billie Anne Lacy of Columbus will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.  The family will greet friends prior to the service Tuesday from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m.  Mrs. Lacy, 78, a former resident of Cordele,  passed away Friday at Columbus Hospice House.  Born in Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late David and Zelda Cox Sheffield.  She was a Medical Assistant (RET) and a member of Mercedes Baptist Church.  Mrs. Lacy is survived by her husband, Marvin Lacy of Columbus; two children, Robin McElveen of Atlanta and Bill Lacy of Columbus; a granddaughter, Kayla McElveen of Atlanta; and a sister, Elizabeth Rackley of Cordele.
