Obituaries

Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Parks of Seville will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Seville Baptist Church in Wilcox County. Burial will follow in the Seville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.  Mr. Parks passed away Saturday in Seville.  Born in Crisp County, he was the son of Nellie Pitts Parks and the late James Dewey Parks.  He was a machinist with National Pump Company and a member of Seville Baptist Church.  He is survived by his children and their spouses, Jimmy and Belinda Parks of Abbeville and Ashley and Eric McClelland of Ocilla; his mother, Nellie Parks of Seville;   two brothers, James D. Parks, Jr. and Randell Parks and his wife, Denna, all of Seville;  two sisters and their husbands, Betty and Kenneth McGlamry of Pitts and Barbara and Wayne Williams of Cordele; and three granddaughters,  Abigail Parks, Dakota McClelland and Chelsey Hayes.  He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Parks and a brother, Wayne Parks.
